RMS Mauretania 1938 Model

Our one-of-a-kind fully scratch built large scale model of the RMS Mauretania of 1938 represents the finest in master craftsmanship. The Cunard White Star Line Mauretania built in England is shown here in a 1/200th scale shortly after commissioning configuration. Signal flags flying spell out a special message including the name and location of the model's commissioning patron. A little whimsy is added on the deck of an open net that has lost its luggage.

This second Mauretania, the first being built in 1906, served not only as an ocean liner but also during WWII transporting troops across the Atlantic in service to Great Britain where she was built. Refitted after the war she returned to her happier duties of carrying vacationing passengers around the globe once again as an ocean liner.
